Bee Dazzling Spellebration

The Literacy Center of West Michigan, formerly Kent County Literacy Council, held its 15th annual spelling bee. This year combined the best of our spelling bee with our Annual Celebration to become the Bee Dazzling Spellebration. This new event kept all the fun of the spelling bee and also recognized the accomplishments of the students, tutors and community leaders who make our programs possible. Award winners for the evening included: Mike Lloyd, Editor, Grand Rapids Press; Kathy Emmenecker, President, Third Wave Workforce; and The Grand Rapids Business Journal.
